Armored Collective provides chauffeured armored SUV rental in Ciudad Juárez, operating B4 to B5 Chevrolet Suburbans and Cadillac Escalade ESVs with vetted security drivers across the city and the industrial belt. Ciudad Juárez is one of the largest manufacturing centres in North America and the work here is almost entirely industrial.
The recurring client is a manufacturing executive, engineer or auditor visiting supplier plants on a fixed schedule, usually as part of a trip that starts or ends in El Paso on the US side. The plants set the timetable, gate procedures take time, and multi-stop days across the maquiladora belt are the normal booking shape.
Abraham González International (CJS) serves Ciudad Juárez directly and sits southeast of the city.
El Paso International (ELP) is across the border on the US side and is frequently the more practical arrival, with better connections and more frequencies. The crossing is handled separately, because our vehicles do not cross the border.
| From | To | Typical | Peak |
|---|---|---|---|
| CJS | Centro | 20 min | 35 min |
| CJS | Industrial parks | 25 min | 40 min |
| Centro | Paso del Norte crossing | 10 min | 25 min |
| Centro | Zaragoza crossing | 25 min | 45 min |
| Centro | Maquiladora belt east | 25 min | 45 min |
| Ciudad Juárez | Chihuahua city | 240 min | 270 min |
The drive from Ciudad Juárez airport to the industrial parks typically takes about twenty-five minutes. Ciudad Juárez to Chihuahua city is roughly four hours and is an intercity movement.
The centro, the Pronaf zone, Campestre, the industrial parks across the east and south of the city, and the approaches to the Paso del Norte, Stanton, Zaragoza and Santa Teresa crossings. Chihuahua city is arranged as a long-distance movement.
Border timing dominates. Northbound waits at the Juárez to El Paso crossings vary from minutes to several hours depending on the crossing, the lane and the hour, and they are not reliably forecast. Which crossing you use materially changes the wait, and it is a decision worth making rather than defaulting.
Our vehicles do not cross the border. A cross-border itinerary is arranged as two coordinated bookings with a handover at the crossing, so the movement continues on the US side without a gap.
Plant schedules govern the day. A supplier audit has a fixed window, site access takes time, and a realistic multi-stop plan allows for both.
Winter here is genuinely cold by Mexican standards and occasional ice affects the highways, which catches out anyone expecting a desert climate.
Demand follows the manufacturing and audit calendar rather than any tourist season, which makes it steady. Cross-border traffic is heaviest at the start and end of the working week and around US holidays.
Private security in Mexico is regulated federally through the Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana with state requirements in Chihuahua, and interstate operation requires federal registration.
Ask any provider offering a cross-border service exactly how the handover works and who operates the vehicle on each side. A Mexican carrier's authority does not extend into the United States and the reverse is equally true, so any operator claiming a single vehicle drives you through is describing something other than a licensed commercial service.
The Mexican commercial scale begins at Nivel III, covering handgun threats including .44 Magnum, roughly equivalent to B4 under EN 1063. Armored Collective operates B4 and B5 and supplies the certificate for the assigned unit.
Armored Collective runs one vehicle platform type deliberately. The armored Chevrolet Suburban and the bulletproof Cadillac Escalade ESV are the most common large SUVs on American and Mexican roads, which means an armored one does not announce itself. Both hold their third row with armor fitted, so a principal, a security driver and a protection detail fit without splitting the party across vehicles. For multi-vehicle movements and motorcades we run matched units so the package looks like one fleet, not three rentals.

Armor level is not a status ladder. Every level up adds weight, slows the vehicle, and wears the brakes and suspension faster. The correct answer is the lowest level that covers the threat you actually face.
Ballistic components in Armored Collective vehicles are rated to EN 1063 for transparent armor and to VPAM APR for opaque armor. EN 1063 is a component standard, not a vehicle standard: it classifies glazing, not finished cars. The only standard that certifies a complete assembled vehicle, including joints, overlaps and glazing interfaces, is VPAM BRV. Ask any provider which standard and which edition was used, which components were tested, and whether the certificate covers the specific unit or the fleet in general. We will send the certificate for the unit assigned to you.
.44 Remington Magnum and lower handgun threats. The common civilian choice where carjacking or an opportunistic approach is the primary concern, and equivalent to what the Mexican market calls Nivel III, which accounts for the large majority of armored vehicles in the country.
5.56 x 45mm NATO. Intermediate rifle threats. Note that EN 1063 does not include 7.62 x 39mm in its test series. If AK-pattern rifles are in your threat profile, ask for a VPAM VR6 certificate rather than a B5 rating.
We do not operate B6 or B7. B6 is tested against 7.62 x 51mm NATO and carries a real penalty in weight, acceleration and braking. If your risk assessment calls for that level, tell us and we will say so rather than sell you something that does not meet it.
